Beginner Yoga is intended for the student new to hatha yoga or for a student that would like to refine their practice. Yoga is for everybody despite experiencing an ailment or physical limitation. Emphasis will be on yoga terminology, guided yoga poses (asana), guided breathing techniques (prana), proper alignment and modifications. Each yoga pose will be presented in a guided, gentle and detailed manner. Special attention and focus on pose alignment, breathing techniques and learning to modify a pose based on any limitations that one may have. Students will learn how to use props. Each week there will be a new set of poses presented.
